If you’re here, I guess you want to know this stuff, so here goes. I’m thirty-ish. I have kids. I have a job in a print shop for the school district. I get many, many paper cuts and complain about it. Lots. I text message way more than is probably necessary. I have a myspace, a facebook, a livejournal, a vox, a last.fm, a flickr, a twitter and an iStockphoto account. Now, guess how many of those I use on a regular basis. I co-webmaster an anime community website. Yes, nerd-cred, I has it. I am bottled, fizzy water and you are shaking me up. Oh, wait…
I like coffee. Triple venti lattes from Starbucks, to be specific. That’s a very large latte with an extra shot of espresso for those of you not fluent in coffeehouse. I love to cook, but hate to clean. My alfredo sauce is teh awesome, but is so bad for you I have to put warning labels on the plate. Seriously, it’s all butter and heavy cream and butter. I also make a mean pesto. Damn, now I’m hungry. I would marry toasted croissants with nutella if it wouldn’t be both bigamy and very, very weird. I need to get on the bastard eliptical just for thinking about that. ;)
I like photography and music and geeky internet humor, so you’ll see a lot of that here. This isn’t my main blog. It used to be, but then I got lazy and discovered livejournal. Also, that happened to be where several of my friends migrated to, so, you know, bonus. :D
I’m currently obsessed with processing black and white photos in Lightroom 3. It’s fun. My camera is a Nikon Coolpix 8800 Canon Digital Rebel XSi Canon 50D. I take photos because it feeds my creative side. I think I’m fairly decent at it, but I have several hundred miles of room for improvement. I don’t call myself a photographer because I’m not. I just take pictures.
I’m also very much into Jamie Cullum at the moment, music-wise. He has an amazing voice and has wonderful fingers on the piano keys. I wish I knew how to play the piano. I took lessons for a year when I was seven. I do play the saxophone. I was in jazz band in high school and for two semesters in college before marriage and babies came along. I miss it. Especially when I listen to The Seatbelts play Tank!
Three random facts about me:
1. I listen to music constantly. Except when I’m sleeping. I need quiet to sleep.
2. I don’t like the year 2006. Yes, the entire year.
3. I’m completely addicted to office supplies, boots, and caffeine. I’m fine with that.
